Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4
Arrive today and drive to the village of Roussillon where you will be welcomed by your host and chef Patrick.  You can arrive at any time of the day.  Lunch is offered and the itinerary and cooking programme are discussed.  In the afternoon take a stroll and discover the village before an aperitif and welcome dinner with your fellow guests in the evening.
After breakfast Patrick will take you to the farmer's market in Coustellet to buy some of the excellent local produce for your cooking.  Also in the market are antiques dealers and bric a brac stalls to browse.  You can also visit the nearby Lavender Museum which has a superb shop of perfumes, soap and lavender essence. This afternoon is free for you to explore on your own.  Maybe visit the antiques market at the lovely riverside town of Isle sur a Sorgue before returning to Goult for the first of your cooking classes at 4pm.  Cooking is followed by an aperitif and dinner.

A walk and picnic this morning with a choice of two circuits depending on the weather.  Both walks are guided. Either walk along the Veroncole Gorge from the village of Murs discovering the remains of various water mills or from Goult follow the footpath from the village to discover the landscape shaped by traditional terrace cultivation.

This afternoon visit the beautiful ochre coloured village of Roussillon with spectactular walks through the old ochre quarries before returning for dinner.  We include also a visit to the Conservatoire des Ochres for an explanation of how ochre was produced and used in decorative materials.

This morning visit the village des Bories, an open air museum of the traditional dry stone shelters built by local peasants and shepherds.  Then on to the stunning village of Gordes, 'un des plus beaux villages de France' perched high above the valley with superb views.  The local village market this morning is full of the scents and colours of Provence.

Free time this afternoon to explore more of the Luberon villages in your own time.  Maybe include Lacoste, with its ruined Chateau of the Marquis de Sade, and Bonnieux which tumbles down the hillside or maybe a stroll in the Cedar Forest high on the Luberon hills.

At 4pm its time for your second cooking class followed by aperitif and dinner.

Day 5 Day 6 Day 7 Day 8

A morning of cooking today followed by lunch in Roussillon. Then this afternoon a beautiful walk on top of the Luberon from the medieval hamlet of Sivergues.  Stroll along the stony plateau and through woods and pastures and after the walk, visit the farm auberge in Sivergues with a lovely view over the quiet hills. Enjoy an aperitif there and dinner with the goats cheeses and hams produced on the farm.

A visit to the ancient village of Menerbes this morning and the nearby Corkscrew Museum and a wine tasting of some of the best of the Luberon wines at the Domaine de la Citadelle.  We also include a visit to the atmospheric ruined village of Oppede le Vieux nestling up against the Luberon mountains, and the nearby olive oil mill.  Lunch is a tasting of olive oil and local cheeses then there is free time this afternoon before your final cooking class at 4pm followed by aperitif and dinner in Goult.

We head to Avignon to day to visit the famous Papal Palace and equally famous Pont St. Benezet. There is free time for lunch and shopping before leaving Avignon for nearby Chateauneuf du Pape to taste some of the fine wines followed by dinner at the Chateau des Fines Roches. Depart after breakfast
