The Alpilles area around St. Remy de Provence offers some of the best of Provencal life - beautiful villages of honey-coloured stone, lively and colourful markets, top class restaurants, superbly preserved Roman sites and delightful medieval towns. The gourmet delights range from the Appellation d'Origine Controlé olive oil to the many good wines produced by a wide choice of domaines. Many artists have studios here inspired by the landscape and light which attracted Van Gogh to spend his time here in St. Rémy and Arles .
Our 4 night self drive holiday explores the pretty countryside and villages and includes an opportunity to taste the various excellent olive oils of the area at three different producers. A half day cooking course with lunch is also included giving you the opportunity to experience the delights of provencal cooking.
The picturesque old market town of St. Remy nestles below the pine covered slopes of the Alpilles mountains at the heart of this picturesque area and our selected hotel for your 4 night stay is right in the centre. The Atelier des Images is a 4* luxury designer hotel with large gardens and swimming pool and its own restaurant and bar. The rooms are tastefully decorated with all modern luxuries.
We make bookings for and pre-pay your hotel accommodation, which will include breakfast each day. There is a wide choice of excellent restaurants in this area and our recommendations for lunch and dinner will be included in your final holiday details information. If you wish us to book a special restaurant for lunch or dinner during your stay, we would be delighted to arrange this for you.
