The itinerary has been planned to start on a specific day of the week and your day by day itinerary may vary slightly according to your choice of holiday date. For the full day by day, click >>Itinerary. |
 |
| The walks planned on your holiday are designed as rambles and strolls rather than challenging hikes and are generally around 2 to 3 hours in duration. We give you a choice of one longer walk of around 4 hours 30 minutes on one of the days. Some of the walks include steep inclines and a reasonable level of fitness is required. All the walks are tried and tested (by us!) and full walking notes are provided. The walks |
explore all the different aspects of the valley and surrounding mountains - strolls through the vineyards and quiet country lanes, secret valleys scented with lavender, woodlands and forests and mountain tracks with stunning vistas. Good walking shoes or boots are recommended. The times indicated for the walks are actual walking times. |

The holiday described has been planned with hotel accommodation in the Auberge du Presbytère, a delightful hotel set in a restored presbytery in the centre of the perched village of Saignon overlooking the Luberon valley. The comfortable rooms are charmingly decorated and the restaurant serves an excellent 4 course dinner.
Accommodation is in a twin or double room with private facilities.
The final choice of hotel for your holiday is however determined by availability according to your holiday dates. If we cannot secure accommodation in the Auberge du Presbytère we will advise you immediately and suggest an alternative, and advise any supplement which may be required. There are many charming hotels in the area all of which we have visited personally and have selected for the comfort of their rooms, their friendly and welcoming ambience and of course for their excellent provencal food.
