You will be enchanted by the charming perched villages and delightfully different areas of countryside from gentle rolling hills to breathtaking mountain scenery with stunning vistas. If you are looking for a different way to explore Provence, this is a great way to do it.
Walking on foot means you become part of the varied scenery of Provence - the pine and oak forests, the lavender fields and vineyards, the green rolling hills and wild limestone cliffs, and our visits to the ancient villages of the area really do give you the best of all worlds. Wine tastings, garden visits, peaceful abbeys, picturesque old chateaux and lively markets are also included in this holiday taking you to the heart of the 'real' Provence.
We make bookings for and pre-pay all your hotel accommodation, which will include breakfast and dinner. We plan and pre-book special restaurants for lunch and dinner according to your holiday itinerary. We plan the visits and excursions you can include in your itinerary.
We provide you with a Route Book which includes all the detail you need for your holiday - your hotel and meal arrangements, a detailed day by day route planner with road directions, detailed walking notes, details of opening times for the suggested visits and excursions, and of course maps of the local area.

| The walks planned on your holiday are designed as rambles and strolls rather than challenging hikes and are generally around 2 to 3 hours in duration. We give you a choice of one longer walk of around 4 hours 30 minutes on one of the days. Some of the walks include steep inclines and a reasonable level of fitness is required. All the walks are tried and tested (by us!) and full walking notes are provided. The walks |
explore all the different aspects of the valley and surrounding mountains - strolls through the vineyards and quiet country lanes, secret valleys scented with lavender, woodlands and forests and mountain tracks with stunning vistas. Good walking shoes or boots are recommended. The times indicated for the walks are actual walking times. |
| Your Route Book will be at your first night hotel for your arrival. It includes all the detail you need for your holiday - your hotel and meal arrangements, a detailed day by day route planner with road directions, details of the suggested visits with times of opening, town plans & of course maps of the local area. And, should you have any need of additional assistance during your stay, our local office is just a phone call away. |
