Making a Booking

Tailor made Holidays
In the first instance we will prepare a basic outline for your holiday and an estimate of the holiday price.  Once all your holiday details have been agreed we will ask you to complete a Booking Form for our records.  This confirms the details of the quotation we have made for you and acts as the contract between Real Provence and your party.  The Booking Form must be completed and sent to us before we can begin to make reservations for you.  It must be accompanied by your deposit payment of 30% per person. If you make a booking within 8 weeks of your holiday date, the full payment is payable immediately on booking. Once we have received your deposit payment we will make the hotel or self catering property reservations, prepare your detailed itinerary and pre-book any excursions and visits that are included in your holiday. Whilst we are confident that we can usually secure hotel reservations without difficulty, the earlier you can start planning your holiday the better the chance we will have in securing your first choice of accommodation. This is especially the case if you plan to travel in the months of July and August. For parties of 6 people or more, we recommend planning and booking your holiday at least 6 months in advance of your holiday date.

Pre-planned Self Drive Tours and Luberon Self Drive & Walk Holidays and Hotel Accommodation only holidays
In the first instance e-mail, phone or fax us to check that the holiday you have chosen is available for your

preferred dates. This will be dependent upon hotel availability and may take a day or so to confirm. Once we have confirmed availability of your holiday dates we will give you a booking reference number and reserve your accommodation until we receive your completed Booking Form and deposit payment. A deposit of 30% of the holiday price per person is payable in order to secure your booking and full payment if your booking is within 8 weeks of your holiday date.

Self Catering holidays
If your booking is for a self catering property only and involves no other holiday element, your booking will be handled via our sister website, click www.provenceholidayhouses.com as booking methods and conditions vary according to the various properties.

Completed Booking Forms for all holidays should be posted to us at our operations office - address below.  Please indicate the Booking Reference number on your Booking Form.

Payment Method
There are three ways in which we can accept payment:

Cheque. If you are paying by cheque please send us this with your Booking Form. All cheques should be made payable to Real Provence Ltd.

Electronic bank transfer
. If you wish to pay by this method just let us know and we will give you our bank details.
Credit card using the PaPal secure system. If you would like to pay using this method please confirm at the time of booking and we will send you a PayPal invoice for your payment online. You do not need to be a member of PayPal in order to make your payment using this method. Please note payment via PayPal incurs a handling charge. The amount of this charge varies according to the invoice amount but is usually no more than 5% of the payment cost.
Payment Method
In order for our overseas clients to pay for holiday vactions in dollars, euros, or other currencies there are two means available.

Electronic bank transfer. Just ask your bank to pay the GB£ holiday price in cleared funds from your normal account. Currency conversion is then automated.
Credit Card. Simply use your normal card and the holiday price will be converted into your own currency by your credit card company at the applicable exchange rate for the day.

As soon as we can confirm all your holiday details and have received your Booking Form and payment, we will send you a Booking Confirmation Invoice with full details of your holiday booking. This will usually be within a maximum of two weeks of receiving your Booking Form although in the case of tailor made holidays confirmation of all your holiday details may take a little longer. Your Final Payment is due 8 weeks before your arrival date and the date will be shown on your Booking Confirmation Invoice . Once we have received your Final Payment we will send you a receipt of the total amount paid and this will be followed two weeks before you travel with a confirmation of your final holiday details including arrangements for arriving at your hotel.
It is a condition of booking that all our passengers are covered by Personal Holiday Insurance. Please supply us with the details with your Booking Form.
Your Financial Security
Real Provence is not a large company and we are therefore not bonded with the two organisations with which you may be familiar - ABTA and AITO. However this does not mean that you need have any worries about the security of your money when you book a holiday with us as we protect all our customer payments with an insurance scheme, the International Passenger Protection Scheme. This scheme guarantees a refund of all your payments to us and indeed your repatriation should this be necessary, due to the cancellation or curtailment of your holiday if, by some unhappy force of circumstance Real Provence should become insolvent. We issue you with an insurance certificate for this cover when you book your holiday with us. Please note this cover applies to UK residents only.
